What is a rule in MOFFI?
Rules allow you to define access parameters for your employees—who can book, where, when, and how. They are essential for structuring how your company’s spaces are used, while taking into account the specificities of each team or building.
Create a rule:
- Go to the "Rules" tab in MOFFI’s admin area.
- Select the type of rule you want to create:
- On-site presence (offices, meeting rooms, parking, etc.).
- Reminder and confirmation: booking reminders and check-in settings.
- Home office: restrict to specific days or define a frequency.
- Quota: assign booking hours to one or more users.
- Define the scope of the rule: select the buildings and spaces concerned.
- Apply the rule to users or groups: target specific groups, departments, or roles.
- Add additional conditions: for example, restrict access to specific days or time slots, define minimum or maximum delay.
- Before confirming, check the “summary” and “impact” panels on the right side—they show what your rule does and how many users and spaces are affected.
- Save your rule: access settings will be updated in a few seconds.
Managing rules:
Once your rules are created, you can:
- Edit an existing rule to adjust it as your needs change.
- Temporarily deactivate a rule if it’s no longer relevant (great for testing new settings without deleting configurations).
- Prioritize your rules: if several rules apply, the most specific to the user or space takes priority.
Good to know: as soon as a user is added to MOFFI, they’re automatically linked to the rules that match their group, main building, or department—a real time-saver!
Inspiring use cases
- You want to limit meeting room access to certain departments or user groups.
- You want your teams to book spaces only in their main building.
- You’re implementing a home office policy with a max of two days per week.
In short, rules are a powerful tool to personalize and optimize MOFFI within your organization. In just a few clicks, they ensure efficient management tailored to your needs. 😊
